Nikkei: Honda, Nissan to team up for common vehicle OS

Nissan and Honda look to bridge their efforts on software as competitors gain the upper hand on software offerings and monetisation. By Stewart Burnett

Honda and Nissan are planning to jointly develop a standardised operating system for their next-generation vehicles, according to a 14 July report by Nikkei. Should the purported deal come to fruition, the two automakers aim to introduce cars equipped with the new software by the late 2020s.
