New wage agreement could bring peace to Hyundai

Hyundai's South Korean plants are on the verge of a new wage deal which could end strikes, at least till the next round of wage talks.

Once again, Hyundai Motor has managed to broker a new wage agreement, albeit a tentative one, with its labour union. The workers will vote on this agreement at the OEM's manufacturing facility in Ulsan, South Korea. It has taken the company and its union nearly four months to work out this agreement.
