New ‘scalable’ electric drive to electrify CV segment

When it comes to electrification, the passenger vehicle market has come on leaps and bounds over the past few years. Arguably, with the exception of the bus segment, the commercial vehicle (CV) market is lagging behind in the race to electrify its powertrains. In a collaborative partnership between various companies and institutes within Germany, development of an axle module is taking place, with the hope of tackling a number of issues that the CV segment faces when considering electrification.
