Lower operating costs in Eastern Europe continue to attract OEMs, suppliers

Attractive cost structures and proximity to major European markets continue to draw investment to Eastern Europe

Over the past 25 years, many global automotive manufacturers have moved to either acquire, or establish, manufacturing facilities in eastern Europe. Countries that capitalised on this and secured investments from manufacturers of vehicles and components included the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania and Hungary.
