Faraday Future’s US$1bn plant is “part of an aggressive plan”

Nick Sampson, Senior Vice President, Faraday Future, speaks to Automotive World about the company’s strategy

Faraday Future (FF), a California-based startup, has presented a clear timeline for the execution of its strategy – to build a production facility and bring its first EV to market.

It hopes to achieve both these goals in 2017. Prior to announcing the construction of a US manufacturing facility, costing US$1bn, the company said it was developing a zero emission, connected EV. Details of the model are under tight wraps, but Nick Sampson, Senior Vice President of Faraday Future, explains how the new facility will play a vital role in producing not only its first vehicle, but others scheduled for launch further into the future.
