Europe’s automotive industry prepares for clamp down on pollutants

Upcoming pollutant emissions legislation will further tighten the restrictions for manufacturers in Europe, writes Freddie Holmes

Europe is subject to Euro 6 and Euro VI, which regulate light and heavy-duty commercial vehicles respectively. The next iteration of these is Euro 7 and Euro VII. Understanding what is required to meet those targets is vital, and so it does not help that specific targets are yet to be finalised. Relevant organisations have put forward recommendations to the European Commission in a bid to help shape the regulation, and speed things along.
