Daimler Renault-Nissan break ground in Mexico

Relations between the OEMs continue to evolve, but brands will stay safeguarded

Daimler and the Renault-Nissan Alliance have broken ground at their manufacturing venture in Aguascalientes, Mexico. The Corporation Manufacturing Plant Aguascalientes (COMPAS) is a 50-50 venture between the OEMs. Models produced at the plant will share technology, but both companies have given assurances that their respective brands will stay safeguarded.
