Given that it is one of the main points of contact with a car, the human-machine interface (HMI) is an area of significant importance for vehicle manufacturers. The way in which drivers interact with a vehicle has changed significantly over the last decade or so, with investments making the experience more enjoyable and technology-rich. However, future HMI systems will place a greater emphasis on driving safety.
