Daimler Trucks North America has announced a US$22.7m investment in Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC), the specialist manufacturer of chassis for segments such as recreational vehicles (RV), walk-in delivery vans, and school busses. Space constraints mean a number of sub-assembly sites are scattered over its South Carolina facility. The new investment will fund a 200,000sq-ft logistics centre that will consolidate these sites.
