Chery accelerates India expansion via local partners

Chery plans to debut five new models in India through its Omoda and Jaecoo sub-brands. By Stewart Burnett

Chery is advancing its Indian expansion through strategic partnerships, with Pakistan's Nishat Group investing US$100m to locally manufacture electric vehicles (EVs) starting October. The collaboration will debut five models under Chery's Omoda and Jaecoo brands, as one of China's largest car exporters capitalises on growing regional EV demand.
