AEB gentlemen’s agreement lands NHTSA in court

Many safety advocates and industry players hailed the move by US manufacturers to adopt voluntary Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) standards as a 'historic' step forward in addressing road fatalities. However, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is finding itself in legal trouble over the move.
