US: Accuride to close Elkhart plant by May

Accuride’s Gunite Corp plant in Elkhart, Indiana will be shut down by 1 May, reports Associated Press, affecting 225 jobs. The Elkhart plant supplies wheel systems and components for heavy- and medium-duty trucks. Production will be transferred to company plants in Rockford, Illinois and Brillon, Wisconsin.
