SEAT’s Stackmann – new models don’t guarantee more sales

Automotive World spoke to SEAT Chairman Jurgen Stackmann regarding the OEMs future plans for growth and why he thinks releasing new cars does not necessarily guarantee more sales

SEAT ended 2013 on a high with sales up 10.6% at 355,000 units - the highest figure in five years. More than 80% of SEAT’s sales are in Europe, and 2013 saw particularly impressive performances in the UK (+17%) and Germany (+20.6%). Considering the small market share of the brand, the upswing in brand awareness is all the more notable.
