Kevin Green, Chief – CAFE Program Office, DOT has been confirmed as a speaker at Fuel Economy Detroit.

Green has spent more than two decades working on policies and programs involving transportation-related fuel use and emissions.

Since 2001, he has been leading analytical work supporting the development of new DOT CAFE standards. Relying on this work, DOT was able, in 2006 and 2009, to make the first major changes to CAFE standards since the inception of the program in the 1970s, the replacement of long-standing flat standards with new attribute-based standards.

Green played a significant role in recommending options and informing decisions regarding these structural changes to the program, changes intended to more equitably balance compliance challenges among manufacturers, and reduce the potential to induce vehicle downsizing that could compromise highway safety.

Automotive Megatrends conferences are designed to connect and inform the stakeholders who are shaping the automotive industry of tomorrow. Our flagship Detroit-based conference, Automotive Megatrends USA, sold out in 2015, so for 2016 we’re growing it to encompass three, back-to-back, one-day events.

Fuel Economy Detroit will bring together the stakeholders tasked with creating the fuel-efficient cars of tomorrow.
