Ford Motor Company today announced that Yukontorn ‘Vickie’ Wisadkosin has been elevated to the position of managing director, Ford Thailand, with immediate effect. She will continue to report directly to Matt Bradley, president, Ford ASEAN.
As managing director, Yukontorn officially assumes overall responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Ford Thailand business, including marketing, sales and service, dealer relations, finance, human resources, government affairs, and general administration. Yukontorn joined Ford Thailand in September as vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service.
“Khun Vickie has made an immediate impact on our business, and has been a great addition to our leadership team. We continue to have very high expectations for our Thailand business, and are confident that Khun Vickie’s leadership of a very talented team will be key in driving our continued success,” said Bradley.
Ford Thailand last week reported its best-ever January performance with sales that rose 74 percent year-over-year. This followed a record full-year for Ford in Thailand in 2012, with overall sales that jumped 88 percent to 54,865 units.
Ford also reaffirmed its plans to expand its nationwide dealer network to 140 locations by the end of 2013.
