Yogesh Umbarkar, General Manager, Ricardo has been confirmed as a moderator at Fuel Economy Pune.
Umbarkar is responsible for Ricardo’s Advanced Powertrain Simulations Business in India. He has over 12 years of diverse experience including manufacturing, CAE/CFD, technical support, sales and marketing mainly in automotive R&D. He has previously worked with Caepro Technologies, Cummins, L&T and Owens Corning.
In his previous role as an Engineering Director at Caepro, Umbarkar led many successful powertrain technology consulting projects and was instrumental in developing simulation capabilities as well as creating new opportunities for the software and consulting business. Whilst at Cummins, he led the Power Cylinder CAE and supported the virtual validation activities worldwide for Cummins.
