In a statement issued on February 1, Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) announced that, due to parts shortages resulting from an explosion that occurred on January 8 at an Aichi Steel Corporation manufacturing facility, all production was expected to be suspended on its vehicle assembly lines within Japan from February 8 through 13.
Toyota would like to confirm that, as scheduled, operations will recommence on February 15.
