Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India, has been confirmed as a speaker at Automotive Megatrends India 2015. He will participate in a panel discussion on India’s car industry over the next ten years.
Philipp von Sahr has been working as the President of BMW Group India since October 2012. He started his career at BMW AG, Munich in 1979 with a commercial apprenticeship in industrial sales. Between 1981 and 1986, he did internships at BMW Group in South Africa, UK and the US.
In 1987, von Sahr joined BMW AG in Munich in the sales and net domestic planning function. He moved to business planning in 1991 and subsequently joined the BMW Branch Offenbach as Director in 1997. In 2000, he moved to BMW Branch Frankfurt as General Sales Manager and later joined BMW Group Norway as Director in 2002. He was promoted as Head of BMW Branch Frankfurt in 2004 and then joined BMW Group Germany in 2008 as Head of Sales.
Before joining BMW India in 2012, von Sahr was President of BMW Group Belux (Belgium and Luxemberg) since 2009.
Automotive Megatrends India is a two-day, multiple-stream conference focusing on commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The panel discussion on day two will cover the key megatrends which look set to shape the country’s car industry over the next ten years and beyond.
