- Dr. Thomas Laubert to be Head of Legal department
Dr. Thomas Laubert (43) will become the new Head of the Daimler AG Legal department effective March 1, 2016. He will take over the position as of from Renata Jungo Brüngger, the Board of Management member responsible for Integrity and Legal Affairs since January 1, 2016.
Dr. Thomas Laubert is currently Daimler AG’s Associate General Counsel globally responsible for criminal law, public law and antitrust law as well as the antitrust compliance program. After working for three years as a lawyer at Deloitte, he joined Daimler AG in April 2004. He was involved in the investigations of violations of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the settlement negotiations with the relevant authorities. In 2012, he was put in charge of the Legal Regulatory Compliance department with responsibility for aligning with the compliance monitor appointed by the US authorities. Previously, he worked for three years as the NAFTA Legal Coordinator in the United States.
Dr. Thomas Laubert studied law and received a PHD at Ruprecht-Karls- University in Heidelberg.
