Today, during a working visit of Mikhail Babich, Official Representative of Russian President in Volga Federal District to JSC AVTOVAZ, LADA officially unveiled the exterior of a new XRAY model. Start of production is planned in 39 days on December 15, 2015 in Togliatti; start of sales is scheduled on February 2016.
LADA XRAY – is a SUV-style high compact hatchback. The vehicle will become the second LADA after Vesta to have brand’s new X-style. This vehicle is created in cooperation with Renault-Nissan Alliance, based of B0 platform and has over 500 original parts. Its production will be arranged at B0 line in Togliatti.
Around 180 test vehicles are to be produced before start of serial production; these vehicles will be used to test assembly processes, tune systems and units, check safety, reliability and durability. As of beginning of November there are 109 test vehicles produced.
Start of LADA XRAY sales is scheduled on February 2016. This model, together with LADA Vesta will be the catalyst of LADA image changes on the Russian market and will help to strengthen brand’s positions in major cities of Russia. The interior of the car is to be unveiled later.
