An affiliate of Halla Visteon Climate Control Corp. (KS:018880) is celebrating a quarter century producing climate control products in the automotive sector.
Halla Visteon Climate Control Canada Inc., located in Belleville, Ontario, currently has approximately 500 employees and produces automotive heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units, underbody and underhood fluid transport lines, and accumulators for various vehicle manufacturers. Employees marked the 25-year anniversary by hoisting a commemorative flag at the facility and organizing an outdoor celebration with family members.
Established in 1989, the company, then known as Halla Climate Control Canada Inc., was the first operation outside of Korea. The operation grew in size and scope, and in 1997, a second facility was purchased within a 2-kilometer radius. Today, these two facilities span 19,000 square meters of manufacturing space.
Current HVCC President and CEO YH Park served as managing director of the Canada operations for nine years from 1995-2004.
“This is an important milestone for HVCC, and I had the honor of seeing this operation develop and grow over the past 25 years,” Park said. “Notably, one thing that has not changed since 1989 is the passion and dedication of our team members, and the ongoing support of the local community as we work to deliver high-quality products and solid customer service.”
