Comline Auto Parts was delighted to receive The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade from Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis, at an official presentation at its Luton headquarters on Tuesday 26th July.
The guest of honour presented the prestigious award to Comline’s Managing Director, Divyesh Kamdar, in the presence of Comline staff, automotive trade media and industry bodies.
In claiming its Queen’s Award, widely-regarded as the UK’s highest business accolade, the company has demonstrated outstanding and sustained commercial growth in its overseas earnings, a fact that was recognised by both the Prime Minister and HM The Queen in approving Comline for the award.
Thankfully, guests were treated to a dry day, meaning they could enjoy food, drink and outdoor activities provided – including a one-putt golf challenge – while there was also the added draw of the Comline-sponsored Bob Fowden Subaru Impreza S-11 rally car being on-site for the event.
All members of Comline staff rightfully enjoyed the company’s historic day – each donning their company-branded polo shirts with pride.
Comline’s Divyesh Kamdar said: “What a moment this is for everyone associated with Comline. We are incredibly proud to be a British company, and I can think of no greater honour than receiving such an important accolade directly from HM The Queen.
“Comline continues to enjoy considerable success here in the UK, but our export growth over the past four years has been nothing short of staggering. The hard work of our dedicated staff, coupled with efforts of our valued distributors, has seen overseas business treble since 2012.
“To be recognised for this achievement is hugely gratifying and something that Comline will wear as a badge of honour over the coming years.”
Speaking at the event, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant, Helen Nellis, said: “As HM Lord-Lieutenant and Business Ambassador for Bedfordshire, it is a genuine pleasure for me to present this award on behalf of The Queen. This is a significant achievement for Comline Auto Parts Ltd and brings immediate prestige, enhanced reputation and is a recognition of the tremendous success of the organisation, its workforce and leadership.
“We are fortunate in Bedfordshire to have a thriving business community which includes flourishing, world-leading enterprise, all of which are ambitious and innovative. Congratulations to Comline Auto Parts Ltd for its continuing success.”
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade is further evidence of a company riding the crest of a wave following Comline’s ranking in The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table.
The table ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest-growing international sales over a two-year period.
