The defeat device scandal could prove little obstacle to sales growth for Volkswagen Group this year, if January sales numbers are anything to go by. In the midst of a recall for 8.5 million vehicles in Europe, the OEM still managed to bolster global sales by 3.7% year-on-year to 847,800 units.
