The electric vehicle (EV) ‘tipping point’ has long been hypothesised. Improved ranges and increased infrastructure could see range anxiety evaporate, falling prices will put models within the reach of more drivers, and cheaper running and maintenance costs will be attractive to both fleets and private owners. This, at least, is what the industry dreams of as the quest for profitability in the EV space continues.
