Porsche says long-term potential backs Brazilian investment

Why Brazil, and why now? Matthias Brück talks to Automotive World about Porsche's plans for the region

Brazil is in the midst of one of the worst downturns ever, and the outlook for the automotive industry is bleak. Against this backdrop, Porsche has opened its first subsidiary in the country. Porsche Brasil, headquartered in São Paulo, recent began importing its first 911 GT3 models.

Matthias Brück, former President and Chief Executive of Porsche Latin America, has taken on the role of Managing Director of the new operations. Brück speaks to Automotive World about the challenges and opportunities for the German luxury brand in the Brazilian market.
