The technical association of the European lubricants industry (ATIEL) and the technical committee of petroleum additive manufacturers in Europe (ATC) have recently developed new guidance documents to help improve the quality and efficiency of information sharing across lubricants supply chains. The organisations hope to promote the communication of three topics: health, safety and environment.
According to ATIEL’s Chairman Olaf Kral, sharing this information in “an agreed and standardised way brings greater transparency and efficiency to the process of regulatory compliance for additive suppliers and lubricant formulators and will also benefit our end users.”
Speaking to Automotive World, Andrew Hepher, Vice President of Shell Global Commercial Technology, explains the importance of working alongside various industry groups like ATIEL. He also referred to a number of products that are helping OEMs meet the demands of the automotive industry.
