European automotive manufacturing continues to migrate to Central Eastern Europe, but Germany benefits from playing to its strengths

Over the last ten years, one of the most visible trends in European automotive manufacturing has been the migration of plants from Western Europe to Central Eastern European states (CEE). A new report from Colliers International has identified low labour costs, government support and improved infrastructure as the driving factors behind the shift.
