Daimler to build 43-charge-point e-bus depot near Zurich

Daimler believes total contracts for e-buses, charging depots and charging management systems can ease the e-mobility transition. By Stewart Burnett

Daimler Buses has been awarded a contract to design and install the entire charging infrastructure for Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn (SZU) at its Rütihof depot in Wädenswil, Lake Zurich. The turnkey project, valued at CHF 7.3m (US$9.14m), will integrate up to 43 CCS2 charging points, each with 150 kW capacity, by the end of 2026.
