Emmanuel Macron’s victory in the French Presidential election was widely forecast. In the run off that set the newcomer against Marine Le Pen – doyenne of the French far right – the centrist Macron came away with some 66% of the vote. Welcome, it seems, to a resurgence of the Third Way.
