The near-term financial impact of Brexit on OEMs could be bigger than many expected. GM was one of the earliest to issue a financial warning. In the second quarter (Q2) call with analysts its Chief Financial Officer Chuck Stevens advised that the European operations could take a hit of up to US$400m in the second half due to Brexit implications. As other OEMs publish their own half-year results and forecasts, varying degrees of impact emerge.
