Spotlight on Indonesia: despite sales decline, the show must go on

Two separate shows running the same week might be overkill at the best of times, and these are far from the best of times for the local industry

The spotlight falls on Indonesia with the opening of the annual Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) as well as the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2015. IIMS has been running for more than 20 years, but this year marks the first GIIAS. Until now, Gaikindo (Indonesia's automotive industry association) had collaborated with other partners on the IIMS event, but it has split off and is running its own show this year.
