Modine Manufacturing Company (NYSE: MOD), a diversified global leader in thermal management technology and solutions, today announced that it has secured a significant cooling module award with China Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. (JAC), a Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer, with production expected to begin in China in 2016.
“Modine is one of the most trusted heat transfer names in the global commercial vehicle market and we are very honored to be able to support JAC, one of China’s premier domestic truck manufacturers,” said Scott Bowser, Modine’s Vice President – Asia. “This is the first major award resulting from our strategy to diversify Modine Asia’s business, which established its reputation in China serving multi-national customers in the off-highway market.”
Founded in 1964 (as Hefei Jianghuai Automobile), JAC is a public company trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, with its headquarters located inHefei, Anhui Province, China. JAC produces a wide range of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles for sale in China and across the globe.
Modine, which operates two production facilities in China, did not disclose further details about the program award, citing customer confidentiality requirements.
