TrueCash allows automakers to personalize incentives; mobile app imagery, communications features upgraded

Automakers working with TrueCar can use the unique TrueCash feature within both TrueCar-branded platforms as well as affinity platforms, to offer consumers tailored incentives from the manufacturers that are redeemable at both TrueCar Certified Dealers and non-TrueCar dealerships.

The Model Showcase feature brings an engaging visual experience to mobile devices including high-resolution photography, embedded video and other high-quality content provided by automakers at no cost to them. The goal is to let manufacturers present their brands within the TrueCar platform in the most favorable manner possible. Model Showcase launched last week with brands including BMW, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Hyundai, Jeep and Ram.

“TrueCash is a data-driven product designed to deliver the right incentive to the right customer at the right time,” said Scott Painter, TrueCar’s founder and chief executive officer. “We’re committed to developing the finest mobile app and best programs to improve the car-buying experience for consumers and dealers, and believe Model Showcase and TrueCash will achieve that goal. ”

The TrueCar mobile app’s new communications enhancements let in-market consumers connect directly with dealers regarding specific vehicles they’re interested, adding greater transparency to the purchase process for buyers and giving dealers a new tool to help complete a sale.

More than half of consumers coming to TrueCar now do so via a smartphone or tablet, and downloads of the TrueCar app for both iOS and Android devices topped 2.2 million after the first quarter of 2015.
