Frank Weith, General Manager Connected Services, Product Marketing and Strategy, Volkswagen Group of America has been confirmed as a speaker in the Connected Car stream at Automotive Megatrends USA 2015, which takes place on 17 March 2015.

Frank Weith is the general manager for Connected Services at Volkswagen Group of America. He is responsible for launching and expanding the Connected Services features, as well as defining and implementing the long term strategies for future Programs. This includes managing the North American Market requirements for services and content, and identifying future technologies relating to connectivity and the integration of features into the infotainment and navigation platforms.

Prior to taking on this role, Weith was the technical strategy manager for Volkswagen Group of America reporting into the Electronics Research Lab in Palo Alto, California. There he was responsible for coordinating the Engineering Research activities with Product Strategy, resulting in the application of new technologies for the North American Market. This included Infotainment and Connectivity, Driver Assist Technologies, Powertrain, BEV and Hybrid applications. Fender Premium Branded Audio being one of several success stories from the collective efforts by Product Marketing, Research and Product Engineering.

Throughout his 21 year career, Weith has spent over 10 years working in Germany for BMW, AAM and SIEMENS AG. His collective experience ranges from Product and Manufacturing Engineering for Components and Vehicle Systems, Product Strategy, and Business Development.

The Connected Car stream at Automotive Megatrends USA 2015 will seek to identify which technologies and trends will have the most impact on the evolution of the connected car in North America over the next ten years and beyond.
