Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a new online vehicle configurator, designed to guide customers step-by-step through the van selection process, and start a seamless journey from ‘building’ their perfect vehicle online to ordering it in a Van Centre.
The class-leading fully responsive system, which adapts to desktop and mobile devices, allows customers to define the specification of their vehicle from the comfort of their own office or home without the need for a pile of brochures, price lists and multiple website windows.
Available within each of the model sections on www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk, the configurator supports the customer in choosing the right vehicle, spec and options with a range of useful pictures and descriptions, step-by-step, click-by-click.
Once completed, the system generates a unique code for the configuration which can be saved and used again, shared with friends or colleagues via email or social media, or taken to a Van Centre where a member of the sales team can retrieve it, removing the need to start from scratch. This function helps to streamline the sales process and arms the Van Centre team with all of the information they require to help the customer with the next stage of the purchase process.
