Human robot co-operation (HRC) is becoming more commonplace in car manufacturing. Skoda is the latest to announce it will take advantage of the technology – in December 2015 the OEM revealed it has been using a lightweight robot at its Vrchlabi facility to aid employees in the production of its DQ 200 direct shift transmissions. The company estimates that by March 2016, daily production will increase from its current level of 1,500 units to 2,000 units.
