Dr. Khalid Ahmed is currently a Data Scientist, working in Electrified Powertrain Engineering at Ford Motor Company. His current work involves using big data technologies to understand customer behaviours and derive value for next generation electric vehicles. He is constantly gathering insights and developing strategies to derive value from customer and vehicle data.
Khalid has a PhD from the University of Michigan. His awards include a “Distinguished Graduate Achievement Award” from the University of Michigan and a “Ford Powertrain Achievement Award”, for developing methodologies to glean insights from big data for the functional design of hybrid powertrains. He is a Fellow of the Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery and Engineering (MICDE). He was also recently honoured as a ThirtyUnder30 Fellow by Ford Motor Company.
