Automotive logistics IT specialist, UK based Vehnet, has appointed Galaxy as exclusive reseller of its market leading ’Advance’ suite of integrated software solutions in Russia and the CIS.

According to Steve Jones, Managing Director and Founder of Vehnet, there is a growing appetite within the automotive logistics community in Russia for reliable, effective IT systems backed up by industry-specific knowledge and local expert support.

“Forward thinking Russian companies are demanding technology that will increase operational efficiency and enhance supply chain visibility,” he said. “Vehnet already has a strong reputation in Russia and we are receiving an increasing number of enquiries from this region. Previously we have serviced customers from our UK base, but a local presence delivers a clear advantage for us and for Russian customers. Galaxy is a well established hardware and software solutions provider, with an excellent track record and a network of valuable contacts; their experienced engineers are fully certified in Vehnet systems implementation and we’re confident that Galaxy will provide effective support in our campaign to expand brand awareness, develop new contacts and pursue existing enquiries.”

Christopher Kenmore, President of Galaxy adds, “We were attracted by Vehnet’s comprehensive product portfolio, which now encompasses transport management as well as yard and workshop management systems for the automotive logistics marketplace. Already, there has been strong interest in the Vehnet IT offering, with excellent feedback from potential Russian customers. We’re looking forward to working with Steve and his team, and are delighted to have secured this exciting opportunity to represent the leading IT brand in this sector.”
