Thalavai Venkatesan, Head – Diesel & Gasoline Programs, Engine Management Systems, Continental has been confirmed as a speaker for Fuel Economy Pune.
Mr. Thalavai Venkatesan is currently heading the R&D Programs of Diesel & Gasoline Engine Management Systems at Continental Corporation. In addition to the EMS programs in India he is also responsible for Malaysia & Iran.
Mr Venkatesan began his career as a calibration engineer with Delphi TVS Diesel Systems on combustion optimization and vehicle performance. Post-2002, he was deputed to Delphi Diesel Systems France and UK for common rail fuel injection system development, and worked for German and French OEMs. He was also the systems and calibration engineer for one of the first Indian common rail diesel programs and supported the program to go into serial production.
By end of 2007, he joined Continental Corporation as a group leader for system integration and calibration, powertrain division. He has expanded the R&D footprint by setting up different engineering teams and facilities in Bangalore.
