SMMT has confirmed 23 May 2013 as the date of this year’s Meet the Buyer event, bringing together vehicles manufacturers and automotive suppliers for a day of business networking and exchange.
With a number of high-profile ‘buyer’ organisations already signed-up, UK-based component manufacturers and suppliers are encouraged to register their interest now for a chance to be invited to discuss local sourcing opportunities and begin new business relationships.
In 2012, SMMT hosted more than 300 one-to-one meetings at its Meet the Buyer event in the West Midlands, securing its position as the largest business networking event of its kind.
This year’s Meet the Buyer event will again take place in the West Midlands and potential suppliers are encouraged to register their interest and ensure company profiles on the SMMT Automotive Supplier Finder database are up-to-date.
Once registered, automotive suppliers will be matched to 2013 OEM and Tier 1 automotive commodity demand and will be invited to the event at the buyer’s discretion.
