Sevcon is returning to the International Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS27), being held in Barcelona from 17th to 20th November, with an exhibit of new products alongside its latest Gen4 motor controllers (inverters).

Sevcon, one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of controls for zero-emission electric and hybrid vehicles, unveiled its most powerful motor controller – the Gen4 Size 10 AC – at EVS26 in Los Angeles last year.

Following the success of the 2012 event for the Gateshead-based company, Sevcon returns to EVS27 with new and existing products and will be in booth D417, next to Renault’s stand. Sevcon supplies Renault’s mould-breaking Twizy electric vehicle with its 48 volt Gen4 AC motor controller.

The International Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS) was established in 1969 and takes place every 18 months. It is now recognised as the world’s foremost event for academic, government and industry professionals working with electric drive technologies.

“We are delighted to return to EVS27 after what was a great show for us in California last year”, said Matt Boyle, President and CEO at Sevcon. “We are looking forward to presenting our technology and products to a broad range of delegates from all around the world.”
