SEAT has joined the French Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona (CCI France Espagne), an organisation that brings together more than 450 companies with the goal of promoting the exchange of experiences and ideas and stimulate relationships among them. The French Chamber of Commerce is a relevant institution, as it forms a network for businesses in several different sectors, of which 56% are held by French capital established in Spain and the rest, as is the case with SEAT, are Spanish companies that operate in the French market.

Christian Stein, SEAT’s representative in the Chamber and the company’s global Communications director, commented on the importance of this alliance: “This is a very positive agreement that gives us the opportunity to establish close ties with the different members of the French Chamber of Commerce. SEAT is undergoing a stage of digital transformation and business expansion, and France is a key country in this strategy, as we aim to increase our market share there in upcoming years”.

According to Philippe Saman, director of the French Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona, “SEAT joining our business network is great news, both for this company’s relevance to Spanish industry as for its vital role in the automotive sector. SEAT i faced with new challenges and that is where our Chamber can give its support to further its competitivity and innovation”.

France is Spain’s fifth largest global market, and in 2015 accounted for 6% of the brand’s total sales, with more than 22,000 vehicles delivered. Indeed, SEAT presented its digital transformation strategy at the recently held Paris Motor Show, and the transversal Easy Mobility Team that is in charge of driving this process. In addition, among the initiatives carried out to increase its visibility in France, SEAT has recently launched an agreement with Amazon.fr to market 15 units of the Mii by Mango Limited Edition.
