SEAT has signed a collaboration and sponsorship agreement with business school ESADE. Signing the document in Barcelona were SEAT President Luca de Meo, Vice-president for Human Resources Xavier Ros, ESADE director general Eugenia Bieto, ESADE Alumni President Joaquín Uriach and ESADECREAPOLIS President Joaquin Bordas.

With this partnership, SEAT actively participates in the institution’s different training programmes and becomes an honorary member of the Foundation of this prestigious business school, which is recognised as one of the best in the world, largely because its custom-developed executive programmes occupy the top positions in the Financial Times ranking.

Likewise, the carmaker has created the SEAT scholarship through ESADE. The recipients are two BBA students, who have the opportunity to further their education as future executives. The company will also collaborate with ESADECREAPOLIS through the Corporate Innovation Excellence Club to promote innovation and the creation of joint projects to encourage mobility of the future.

“This agreement strengthens SEAT’s ties to Barcelona and its commitment to training, innovation and talent management, and enables us to deepen our long-standing connection with ESADE. We welcome the possibility of contributing to the preparation of young people who will be the executives of the future. I am convinced this will be a mutually beneficial relationship: SEAT will contribute knowledge and expertise, while the young people will bring innovative ideas”, declared SEAT Executive Committee President Luca de Meo at the meeting.

According to Eugenia Bieto, director general of ESADE, “this partnership provides a natural collaboration framework between two institutions that share common values. The future of ESADE and SEAT will only be possible through innovation and for this reason I am certain that this agreement will achieve extremely positive results, as our areas of cooperation range from the Scholarship Programme to ESADE Alumni, developing synergies in ESADECREAPOLIS”.

Committed to young talent

In an effort to strengthen its involvement in training young talent, the company has created the SEAT Scholarship in conjunction with ESADE. Thanks to this initiative, two students aged between 18 and 22 have the opportunity to study a BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration) at ESADE at no cost.

SEAT will also be present both inside and outside the classrooms. The carmaker will be represented at the ESADE Alumni meetings, where over 1,500 former students get together every year. Among other activities, company executives will attend master classes and the “SEAT Challenge” will be implemented, where a group of MBA students will have to resolve challenges related with the company’s core business. Another training activity will be the SEAT Case Study, and its conclusions will be published worldwide and in an accessible form for other business schools. In addition, the company will be present at the ESADE Talent Career Forum, and students can learn about and visit the modern Martorell facilities.
