A. Ramasubramanian, President, AMW Motors LTD, has been confirmed as a panelist in the Big Picture Panel Discussion on Day 1 at Automotive Megatrends India 2015.
Mr A. Ramasubramanian is President of Asia Motor Works Limited, guiding the performance and growth of the organisation in the Heavy Commercial Vehicle segment.
Ramasubramanian began work in the 1970s with Tata Motors Ltd (then TELCO). The past few decades have seen Ramasubramanian work for Axles India Limited and head up the Engineering Research Centre at Eicher. He was also Chief of Product Development (1993-2003) at Eicher Motors Limited and Group Head for Product Development for the entire Eicher Group. In 2003, he took over as CEO of Eicher Tractors and later was CEO of Eicher Motors (Commercial Vehicle Unit).
Ramasubramanian joined AMW in 2009 and has since played a key role in developing the company into the third largest HCV manufacturer in India.
A member of SAE, ASM and the Indian Institute of Metals, and a qualified CFA , Ramasubramanian has also published several technical papers in SAE since 1985 and holds several engineering patents.
Ramasubramanian is a mechanical engineer from the College of Engineering, Pune University.
