Rajinder Singh Sachdeva, Executive Vice President and Technology Head, VE Commercial Vehicles, has been confirmed as a speaker in the powertrain innovation track at Automotive Megatrends India 2015.
Mr. Rajinder Singh Sachdeva is responsible for R&D, purchasing, project management and aftermarket technology at VE Commercial Vehicles, and leads a 650-strong team within these areas.
He has over 28 years of experience in technology, and has been responsible for the expansion and introduction of new product ranges including the new PRO-Series of 5 to 49 tonne vehicles.
Under his leadership, the company has expanded from single product to a complete range player offering trucks, buses and engines, including: a completely new range of light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles; a new Euro III and Euro IV engine range, from 70kw – 250kw power in both 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder versions; and a next-generation 2 – 2.3 metre cab range. Mr. Sachdeva is also responsible for sourcing and supplier development, and has repeatedly delivered annual cost reductions.
Automotive Megatrends India is a two-day, multiple-stream conference focusing on commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The panel discussion on day one will cover the key megatrends which look set to shape the country’s commercial vehicle industry over the next ten years and beyond.
