Philippe Lebeau, Research Associate, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, has been confirmed as speaker at Automotive World Megatrends Europe 14, taking place on September 10-11, 2014.
Philippe Lebeau is conducting a PhD on the electrification of urban freight transport since 2012. After graduating from a Master in Management Sciences at the Louvain School of Management in 2011 and from a Master in Transport Management in 2013, he joined the research group MOBI, an interdisciplinary research group of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel focused on sustainable logistics, electric and hybrid vehicles and sustainable mobility.
With the supervision of Prof. Dr. Cathy Macharis and Prof. Dr. Joeri Van Mierlo, he has already addressed topics such as the impact of freight transport in Brussels, the competitiveness of electric vans and vehicle routing problems with limited range.
His expertise fields are in sustainable logistics, electric vehicles, urban freight transport in Brussels, Discrete Event Simulation, Total Cost of Ownership, Conjoint Based Choice and Multi-Criteria Multi-Actor analysis.
Organised by Automotive World, Megatrends Europe ’14 is a two-day, six-stream conference focusing on Commercial Vehicles and Passenger Cars.
Lebeau will speak in the as a panelist in the Stream 2: Road Freight Efficiency, which will look at which technologies and strategies look set to have the greatest impact on the efficiency of Europe’s commercial vehicle fleets.
