P.C. Jayan, Director – Engineering, IAC Group has been confirmed as a speaker in the Car Lightweighting & Manufacturing track at Automotive Megatrends India 2015.
Jayan is the Director – Engineering for International Automotive Components (IAC), India operations headquartered in Chakan, Pune. He heads the product engineering and design functions for both domestic and offshore engineering. IAC India manufactures interior and exterior automotive components and systems including cockpits, instruments panels, floor consoles, door systems, interior trim and flooring and acoustics applications.
Jayan has a rich and varied experience having worked on projects for global and local customers including Mercedes, General Motors, Volkswagen, Suzuki, Fiat, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Mahindra Trucks and Buses, among other large OEMs in the region. He spent a significant part of his career in China and Japan supporting the design and development of interior systems and components. He has particularly strong knowledge of safety systems, interior design, and flooring and acoustics development.
Automotive Megatrends India is a two-day, multiple-track conference focusing on commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The Car Lightweighting and Manufacturing track on day two will focus on the best and most efficient ways to reduce vehicle weight in mainstream light vehicles.
