HIGHLIGHTS

Thailand
– Almera (1,860 units) and Navara (930 units) were the main contributors to June sales.

-The expiration of the government’s first-car buyer incentive program has continued to impact sales in the sub-compact car segment.

Australia
Nissan Australia hit an all-time monthly sales record in June, totaling 9,280 units, a 10 percent increase from the previous year.

-Pulsar outperformed with the best monthly sales results since its launch, recording 2,330 units.

– Navara (2,670 units), Dualis (1,770 units) and X-Trail (1,330 units) also scored well in June sales.

Indonesia

– The Livina series were the main contributors to sales, with 3,660 units sold.

Malaysia

-Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) had the best fiscal year-to-date performance, recording 12,700 units, a 49 percent increase from the prior year.

– Almera continued its strong momentum in June, delivering sales of 2,780 units.

“The expiration of the first car buyer program in Thailand has impacted the cumulative sales results for the region as a whole, but otherwise, we are seeing very positive results from markets such as Australia and Malaysia,” said Takayuki Kimura, Nissan regional vice president for Asia and Oceania. “Vietnam has also been a highlight for us, with the all-new Sunny selling more than 200 units in the first two weeks of sales. Our product strategy is working in the region and we will see sales pick up in Thailand and Indonesia soon.”
