Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for November 2012.

1. Production  
Nissan’s global production in November decreased 10.9% year-on-year to 394,772 units.

Production in Japan decreased 22.1% year-on-year to 93,607 units, mainly due to the rebound in production after the impact of the earthquake in Japan last year.

Production outside of Japan decreased 6.8% year-on-year to 301,165 units.

In the U.S., production increased 13.3% year-on-year to 56,019 units, mainly due to increased demand for the new Pathfinder, the new Altima, and Infiniti JX, despite lower production volume attributable to the preparation to transfer production of the Frontier pickup and another model.

In Mexico, production increased 4.1% year-on-year to 59,964 units, mainly due to increased demand for pickup trucks and the new Sentra.

In the U.K., production increased 1.8% year-on-year to 47,432 units.

In Spain, production decreased 15.5% year-on-year to 12,511 units.

In China, production decreased 43.3% year-on-year to 68,090 units.

Production in other regions increased 65.6% year-on-year to 57,149 units, mainly due to the rebound in production after the impact of flooding in Thailand and increased demand for Sunny in India.

2. Sales  

Global sales in November decreased 6.8% year-on-year to 381,018 units.

Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sold 46,480 units in Japan, a decrease of 15.2% year-on-year.

In Japan, vehicle registrations in November decreased 12.2% year-on-year to 34,645 units, mainly due to decreased demand for models other than the new Note, which was ranked as the third best-selling registered vehicle in Japan, and the NV350 Caravan.

Mini-vehicle sales in Japan decreased 22.8% year-on-year to 11,835 units.

Sales outside of Japan decreased 5.5% year-on-year to 334,538 units.

Sales in the U.S. increased 12.9% year-on-year to 96,197 units, mainly due to increased demand for the new Pathfinder, Rogue and Infiniti JX.

In Europe, sales decreased 18.6% year-on-year to 48,581 units.

In China, sales decreased 29.8% year-on-year to 79,473 units.

Sales in other regions increased 17.9% year-on-year to 82,782 units, mainly due to increased sales in Thailand.

3. Japan Exports  
Nissan’s exports in November decreased 35.9% year-on-year to 50,803 units.

Exports to North America decreased 23.5% year-on-year to 35,292 units.

Exports to Europe decreased 32.5% year-on-year to 6,043 units.
