As Nissan North America focuses on improving employee engagement and alignment during a period of rapid growth, the company has promoted Brian Brockman to director, Internal Communications, effective immediately. Brockman will be responsible for coordinating employee communications efforts across the U.S., Canada and Mexico and will oversee the teams that develop and manage electronic tools to communicate with employees. He will be based in Franklin and report to David Reuter, vice president, Corporate Communications, Nissan North America.

“With more than 15 years of automotive communications experience, Brian will bring a level of rigor and discipline to our internal communications function that is keenly important to keep employees informed and engaged as Nissan continues to grow rapidly and meet our profitability goals,” said Reuter.

Brockman previously served as senior manager, Nissan Corporate Communications. He joined the company to manage communications for the Midwest region in 2007. Brockman came to Nissan from the public relations agency, MSL, where he provided on-site support for an automaker in Detroit and Chicago. He earned a bachelor’s in communications with a focus in public relations from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
